December 7, 1941. Japanese airplanes attacked the United States naval fleet at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and World War II began for the United States.
If you have never been to visit Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial, you need to. I made sure that my children did and I will do the same thing when my grandchildren are old enough to weep as they stand over that great warship with more than a 1100 sailors entombed beneath the waters in that beautiful, yet tragic harbor.
Today is the 70th anniversary of that tragic event and unfortunately, I am not sure if I still have any patients remaining who were there. At one time I did, and I always took a few moments to listen to their stories and thank them for serving on my behalf.
“Thank you” to those who still remain and “thank you”  to the family members of those who don’t. Remember our military. Their service on our behalf is PRICELESS!
