The appelate court struck a blow to ObamaCare late last week, which I believe is a victory for both you and me. The court ruled that the provision which demanded that people buy into the government sponsered health care plan was unconstitutional. I agree.
It is a victory for you because it allows you the freedom of choice to buy or not to buy, and the choice to choose your own health care plan from the large number of private plans that already exist in the free market.
It is a victory for me as a physician because it is one less governmental barrier between the two of us in our physician-patient relationship.  I am free to practice the type and extent of medicine you want rather than the government-mandated care plans that are part and parcel with the ObamaCare package.
For example, under ObamaCare, I would have been penalized financially if your diabetes was not under the best control possible. It would have been my position to harrass the hell out of you for everything you ate that compromised your care, every cigarette you smoked, and even every time you chose not to check your blood sugar. Your health would have been the government’s business rather than your own.
But you don’t have diabetes or smoke? The same restrictive mandates cover all other health care problems such as hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, pregnancy, and even immunizations for your children. Take a moment to celebrate this victory. But continue to pray. It will probably go to the supreme court within the next few months.
