1 Cor 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.
It wasn’t long after my tenth or eleventh birthday that I learned that there was no such thing as a free lunch. I purchased a bicycle at a yard sale that looked almost brand new. The previous owner had painted over the rust, added air to the flat tires, and sold it to a 10 yearold kid for what seemed like a bargain price.
And then by the time I got the bike home, the worn out tires had gone flat, the cheap paint quickly began to come off, and I was left with a piece of crap. I thought that I could get something for nothing. I thought like a child. I got screwed. Welcome to Obamacare.
And don’t blame the Supreme Court for this mistake. It came directly from the President and the socialistic bastards that currently reside in the United States congress. And they were put there by a vote of the people.
What the people think they are getting is excellent healthcare at an unbelievable price. What they are really getting is rationed healthcare that will come at an exorbitant price measured in increased taxes and decreased services to the elderly. And you will get only the services the government wants you to get.
You will get birth control and abortions because they want you to only have one or two children, preferably none. You will get only generic medicines because they don’t want to pay for the medical advancements that have kept our healthcare on the cutting edge. And you will get rationed care to the elderly (no hip replacements, kidney transplants, or coronary bypasses for your mom and dad–or you) because they have already lived long enough.
I had a Canadian friend who called to send her mother flowers for Mother’s Day. The flowers cost her $75 and the additional taxes, $65. Welcome to the world of socialized medicine. There is no such thing as a free lunch.
