We are all saddened, deeply saddened by the recent tragedy at Newtown. Words can’t say enough, so I won’t even try. Only a good Bible class on apologetics can help understand “how a loving God could allow such a thing to happen.”
God does love us and children especially hold a special place in His heart if you allow me the use of an anthropomorphism. My understanding of scripture tells me that each of these children pass from life on earth to life everlasting. And it isn’t a life of sorrow or punishment, but one of everlasting life. That means it NEVER ENDS! NEVER!
Although they will be truly missed by those who knew them best, they will spend eternity–starting now, with a God who loves them best. What’s 70 years on earth (their expected average life span) where there is constant trouble and sorrow when you can skip all that and live forever where there is no more sorrow and no more tears. Thank you God for your endless love and preparing a place for them and me.
John 3:16Â “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
