Did anybody see the overt mocking of Tbow after he led his Denver Broncos past the Pittsburg Steelers today? Shortly after he threw the winning 80 yard pass and run touchdown in overtime, the sports announcers mocked his practice of bending the knee in worship as he remembers the source of his blessings.
Pathetic! Try turning to the east and bending at the waist toward Mecca as the Muslims do and see if you ever announce another NFL football game.
Tbow says he doesn’t believe that God controls the outcome of football games. I disagree. No, I don’t think that God Almighty cares too much whether the Saints or the Steelers win the Superbowl, but He is surely interested in the personal lives of each of those He has called to receive salvation through Jesus Christ His son.
Matt 10:32-33 “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.
I believe that Tbow honors His maker before men when he bows the knee. That doesn’t mean that he will win the next Superbowl or even the next football game he plays. But Jesus Christ is acknowledging him before God the Father right now. And when you have found favor with God Almighty, Tbow will find happiness in his walk with the Lord, victorious on the football field or not.
