And they lived happily ever after. Now there’s a fairy tale ending for you. We’ve all heard it since we were just children. And then life happened. We grew up and realized that fairy tales are just that, tales. A tale by the way, is defined by Webster as a trivial lie.
So let’s put away another tale (lie). It’s called the “gun free zone.” Oh it sounds so right and simple. It’s a safe place where everybody obeys the rules and no guns are present. Children all live and learn in a safe environment where no one is subject to harm, no one uses the N or the F word, and Johnny brings gum enough for everybody in the classroom. Sounds so right and simple doesn’t it?
But it’s a lie! It doesn’t exist and it never will. So make all the rules you want, post all the gun free zone signs the walls will hold, and keep putting our children at risk for mass slaughter–just like what happened in Newtown.
1 Cor 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. Â
I suggest teachers and school administrators put their big boy and girl panties on and grow up. And no, we don’t need 300,000 more federal employees at the public school as the NRA suggests. We need a few teachers, administrators, and even janitors to buy concealed weapon permits and carry a gun for protection just like many other citizens do.
Buck up. Adam Lanza walked right past the “Gun Free Zone” signs. And unfortunately, there are many more Adam Lanza-like people out there just waiting to snap. Protect our children. Carry a gun hidden in your purse, tucked away in your coat, or concealed where only you know where it is.
And stop believing the lies.
